Dave & Shelley Perry
We are a husband and wife team (Dave & Shelley) who are crazy about resin! No matter how many pours we do we still find it mesmerising and beautiful, and get really excited about unmoulding the next day, seeing how something has turned out, as every piece is completely gorgeously unique!!!
As did most people we delved into resin through lock-down. Shelley has health issues so shielding has become a way of life for us, and Dave was made redundant just before lock-down started. Shelley had her own craft business that she had to give up some time previously through being unwell but kept her ig account active for the odd bit of craft when she felt able, but through lock-down Dave wanted to start something crafty up himself as a way to earn a bit of needed extra money to help out and we'd always been so curious about, and wanted to try Resin...so we did! And we renamed the account @millysgiftshop01 (after one of our furbabies Milly.. who let's face it was the boss anyway 🤷♂️🤷🏻♀️) and launched a new little business.
Dave does all the hard work, the mixing and running the business side of thing.. and Shelley comes in to sprinkle the pretty ✨️✨️ (she designs and pours the resin pieces ..the most fun bit!) This way things are more flexible and we can work around Shelleys health.
And here we are today.. still loving it! And we want to share what we've learnt with you! Tips we've learnt along the way through trial and error. We want you to learn from our mistakes. And to love Resin as much as we do. It's a wonderful, versatile thing and the possibilities are endless!
